Chapter 11

Chapter 11
A traditional audio technology I could use is audiobooks. Even though I will be teaching math classes, it may be more beneficial for students to hear how a math problem comes about rather than to see how it comes about.

An emerging audio technology I could use is internet radio. Although this may not be used to educate students, I could play music between classes in order to relax students and to help create a safe environment that benefits the students learning. The more relaxed the students are, it is likely that they will learn better as well.

A traditional visual technology I may use is overhead projections. This could be efficient in math classes to walk students through problems that we may have gone over, but that not everyone completely understands.

An emerging visual technology that I may utilize in my class is the compressed video teleconferencing system. Being a math teacher, this could benefit the classroom by doing math projects with other classrooms around the country/world through video connection. This would be very beneficial to the students for their mathematical knowledge and to better understand cultures other than their own.
